RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Authorizing the Scheduling of a Public Hearing to Consider Adopting an Amendment to Chapter 82 the Construction and Demolition Debris (C&DD) Ordinance

That the Board authorize the scheduling of a Public Hearing for July 23, 2015, at 5:33 p.m. for consideration of adopting an amendment to Chapter 82 of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances amending definitions, regulations and permitting requirements for Construction and Demolition Debris (C&DD) facilities and Land Clearing Debris (LCD) facilities.

BACKGROUND:

On August 21, 2014, the Board established a moratorium on permitting of Construction and Demolition Debris (C&DD) and Land Clearing Debris (LCD) facilities in order to review and consider amendments to the County’s permitting scheme for such facilities. The moratorium expires on August 21, 2015.

The proposed ordinance will advertise in the Pensacola News Journal on Sunday, July 12, 2015.
