RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning a Letter to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Relating to Mosquito Control - Keith T. Wilkins, Community & Environment Department Director

That the Board authorize the Chairman to sign a letter to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) designating Matthew Mello as Interim Director of Escambia County Mosquito Control as a result of the resignation of the former incumbent.
BACKGROUND:
The previous division manager for Mosquito Control submitted a resignation letter. As a result, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services requires a written notification of any changes to the point of contact for Escambia County's Mosquito Control Division. Mr. Matthew Mello has been appointed as the interim until a permanent replacement can be hired.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
There is no budgetary impact associated with the recommendation.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
There are no legal considerations or legal sign-off associated with the recommendation.
PERSONNEL:
Mr. Mello will serve as interim division manager in addition to his current duties of Mosquito Control Supervisor. No other personnel impact associated with this recommendation.
POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
Written notification is a requirement of FDACS and Board approval is required to obtain the Chairman's signature.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
Coordination associated with this recommendation will be handled by the Community & Environment Department.
