Recommendation Concerning Healthcare Broker/Consulting Services - Thomas G. "Tom" Turner - Human Resources Department Director

That the Board amend the scope of work in regards to the Health Clinic Request for Proposal (RFP) with AON Hewitt, Healthcare/Broker/Consulting Services PD 14-15.020, to change the scope from developing an RFP to conducting a feasibility study to determine the cost effectiveness of the clinic.

BACKGROUND:

Per the request from the Sheriff's office who pays approximately 28% of the costs, instead of developing an RFP for the health clinic, the scope of work with AON Hewitt is amended to perform a feasibility study to determine the cost effectiveness of the clinic and whether the cost of the Contract is in line with the service the County receives. The Sheriff's office will also conduct an independent feasibility study through their broker to provide two independent comparisons. The feasibility study cost for the BCC is $20,000, the same as the development and pursuit of the RFP. Contract PD 14-15.020 for Health Care Broker Consultants, was approved and awarded to AON Hewitt on the BCC Regular Meeting, County Administrator's Report II.10 of March 5, 2015.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funds are available in Fund 501, Internal Service Fund, Cost Center 150108, Object Code 54501.

A Purchase Order will be the instrument utilized for making payment against the Contract.

The Human Resources Department will coordinate with AON Hewitt to ensure they are aware of the change of scope in regards to the Contract.
