RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning a Contract Award for the Perdido Key Master Plan - Stephan Hall, Management and Budget Services Interim Department Director
That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County and Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company, LLC, per the terms and conditions of Contract PD 14-15.036, Perdidio Key Master Plan, for a lump sum of $153,704 and allowances for reimbursable expenses of $15,000, for a total of $168,704.

BACKGROUND: |
Request for Letters of Interest, PD 14-15.036, Perdido Key Master Plan was publicly noticed on Friday, February 13, 2015 to one hundred ten firms. Responses were received from two firms on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company, LLC was ranked #1 by the Selection Committee.
On Monday, April 13, 2015 Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company, LLC provided their initial fee proposal based on the scope of work in the solicitation as a lump sum amount of $293,042. Upon subsequent negotiations, that amount was negotiated to $168,704, a savings of $124,338. |

This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, FL 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchases and Contracts and Florida Statute 287.055, Competitive Consultants Negotiation Act.
