RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Contract Extension on the Uniform Rental Service Contract - David W. Wheeler, CFM, Facilities Management Department Director

That the Board take the following action on the Uniform Rental Service Contract, PD 11-12.028:

A. Approve the first 12-month Contract extension, effective July 13, 2015, to Unifirst Corporation;

B. Authorize the Chairman to sign all related documents.

BACKGROUND:
On July 12, 2012 the Board awarded the Uniform Rental Service Contract, PD 11-12.028 to Unifirst Corporation for a period of 36 months, effective July 12, 2012, with an option to extend for two additional 12-month periods for a total of 60 months.  The contract expires on July 12, 2015, and the contract manager is requesting to exercise the first 12-month extension. Unifirst Corporation has agreed to offer the same terms and conditions with no price increase.  

The Board has requested that contract extensions be taken back to the Board for approval.

This recommendation is in compliance with the code of Ordinances of Escambia, FL 1999, Chapter 46, Fiannce, Article II, Purchase and Contracts.  The Board has request that contract extensions be taken back to the Board for approval.
