RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #054 - Stephan Hall, Management and Budget Services Interim Department Director

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #054, Local Option Sales Tax III Fund (352), in the amount of $100,000, to recognize Grant proceeds from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), and to appropriate these funds for the deployment of the Tugboat "Ocean Wind" to be used as a public fishing and diving reef.

BACKGROUND:

Escambia County Marine Resources Division has been awarded a grant by FWC to prepare and clean to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standards the 80 ft. long steel hulled tugboat Ocean Wind for utilization as a public fishing and diving reef. Any remaining funds not expended on the Ocean Wind project may be utilized for artificial reef development utilizing clean concrete materials, with material specifics and deployment plan developed to be included in the contract Scope of Work.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 352 by $100,000.
