Recommendation Concerning a Sports Tourism Study - Jack R. Brown, County Administrator

That the Board approve going out for a study on sports tourism to determine the feasibility of a sports and special events type of facility, which ultimately could provide significant economic impact for Escambia County and the Panhandle region.

BACKGROUND:

This type of study would determine what types of venues are available across the region, what type of facilities are needed to enhance the economic impact of Escambia County and the Panhandle region, and the feasibility of a sports and special events type of facility with the focus on sports tourism.
