RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Appointments to the City of Pensacola Fish Hatchery Committees - Keith Wilkins, Community & Environment Department Director

That the Board take the following action concerning appointments to the City of Pensacola Fish Hatchery Committees:

A. Appoint Chips Kirschenfeld, Senior Scientist/Water Quality and Land Management Division Manager, to the City of Pensacola Hatchery Planning Committee;

B. Appoint Robert Turpin, Marine Resources Division Manager, to the City of Pensacola Hatchery Technical Advisory Committee; and

C. Appoint Keith Wilkins, Community & Environment Department Director, to the City of Pensacola Climate Change Task Force.

BACKGROUND:

Interim Assistant Administrator of the City of Pensacola has requested Escambia County staff serve as members of the following committees: Hatchery Planning Committee, Hatchery Technical Advisory Committee, and the Climate Change Task Force. This recommendation is to solicit the Board’s approval for the recommended staff to serve in those capacities.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The County Attorney has determined there is no conflict of interest for these County staff to serve on their respective committee.
