| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning a Request for a Price Adjustment on Refuse and Recycling Dumpster Service Agreement - David W. Wheeler, CFM, Facilities Management Department Director
That the Board authorize a 3.22 percent price adjustment to Republic Services on the Refuse and Recycling Dumpster Service Agreement, PD 12-13.041, effective January 1, 2015, as requested by the County Administrator's designee, David W. Wheeler, CFM, Facilities Management Department Director.

| BACKGROUND: |
The County Administrator's designee received a request from Republic Services, Inc. for a 3.22% increase effective January 1, 2015. Contract documents state that the vendor may request a price adjustment through written justification attesting that the request is a bonafide cost increase to the vendor. It has been verified that Solid Waste Management has increased disposal rates by 3.5% on October 1, 2014.

County Departments will absorb this price increase in their current budget.

| IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION: |
Upon receipt of Board approval, the Director of Facilities Management shall notify the Contractor, Republic Services, Inc. of said approval.
