Recommendation Concerning Budget Amendment #030 - Stephan Hall, Management and Budget Services Interim Department Director

That the Board approve Budget Amendment #030, Escambia County Clerk , General Fund (001), in the amount of $61,000, to cover one additional accounting position to assist with grant reporting, Restore Act, and increases in workload from the acquisition of the Library System and County Jail. This Amendment will increase the Clerk's Budget for Fiscal Year 2014/2015.

BACKGROUND:

The Clerk's Office has requested an additional accounting position to assist with grant reporting, Restore Act, and general workload reduction within the Clerk to the Board's operation. This amendment will increase the Clerk's total position count by one from 41.63 to 42.63 for Fiscal Year 2014/2015.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase the Clerk's Budget in the amount of $61,000.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

N/A

PERSONNEL:

This amendment will increase the Clerk's total budgeted personnel by one position from 41.63 to 42.63.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

BCC policy requires increases or adjustments to Constitutional Officer's Budgets to come before the Board.
