RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning a Request for Funding for the Santa Rosa Island Authority - Commissioner Grover C. Robinson, IV, District 4

That the Board consider the request for $35,000 to be funded from the District 4, 4th Cent Tourist Development Tax, for the Santa Rosa Island Authority for economic development and tourism and approve a Purchase Order for this purpose.

BACKGROUND:

The $35,000 requested is to assist Santa Rosa Island Authority to fund events promoting economic development and tourism on Pensacola Beach, Pensacola, Florida.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

The Board placed $250,000 in the 4th Cent Tourist Development Tax reserves. These funds were to be allocated by the Board for events and other tourist promotion activities.
