RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning a Request for Disposition of County Property for the Office of the Public Defender - David Lambert, MIS Director

That the Board approve the Request for Disposition of Property Form for the Public Defender’s Office.  The listed items are outdated, in excess, and have been found to be of no further usefulness to the County.  The equipment which is described and listed on the Disposition Form shall be donated to the Emerald Coast Boys and Girls Club. 
BACKGROUND:
Escambia County policy establishes the procedures for disposing of surplus or obsolete equipment.  The surplus property listed on the attached Request for Disposition of Property has been checked and declared to be of no use to the County but suitable for auction, donation or properly disposed of.

The Public Defenders Office has the responsibility to wipe clean all hard drives associated with the equipment listed on the Disposition Form.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the Board Policy SEC II, Part B.1, Procedures for Disposition of County Property.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The Public Defender's Office will coordinate the donation of the equipment with the Emeraldl Coast Boys and Girls Club.
