RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Commission Appointments to Boards and Committees - Jack R. Brown, County Administrator

That the Board confirm the appointments by Commissioner Robinson and Commissioner Underhill to the following Boards and Committees, per the lists provided:

Animal Services Advisory Committee
Board of Adjustment
Escambia County Disability Awareness Committee
Escambia County Mass Transit Advisory Committee
Escambia Marine Advisory Committee
Planning Board
Santa Rosa Island Authority

NOTE: THE RESUMES OF JUDY GUND, CLAUDE GILLETTE, TIM PYLE, AND KAREN SINDEL WILL BE DISTRIBUTED UNDER SEPARATE COVER.

BACKGROUND:

During the Installation and Organization Meeting, the Commissioners Elect will present their nominations for the following committees: the Animal Services Advisory Committee, the Board of Adjustment, the Escambia County Disability Awareness Committee, the Escambia County Mass Transit Advisory Committee, the Escambia Marine Advisory Committee, the Planning Board, and the Santa Rosa Island Authority. The appointees terms will run concurrent with the appointing Commissioner, or at his discretion.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This Recommendation is in compliance with the Board of County Commissioners' Appointment Policy and Procedures, Section I, Part B.1.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The County Administrators Office will provide new appointees with the appropriate documentation.
