Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #013 - Amy Lovoy, Management and Budget Services Department Director

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #013, Internal Services Fund (501), in the amount of $50,000, to recognize funds from Florida Blue for a three-year wellness incentive to improve or maintain the County's wellness facilities and program.

BACKGROUND:

On July 24, 2014, the BCC approved a three-year wellness incentive grant of $150,000 from Florida Blue. The understanding is that if the Board cancels health insurance coverage through Florida Blue before 2017, the County would forfeit and return $100,000. If the County cancels coverage before 2018 the County will forfeit and return $50,000. With this reason, funds will be disbursed over a three year period. These funds will be used to promote wellness programs or to improve and maintain the wellness facilities located throughout the County.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 501 by $50,000.
