RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning the Purchase of One Mac Model TNSP48MF Waste Trailer with Walking Floor for the Solid Waste Management Department - Patrick T. Johnson, Solid Waste Management Department Director
That the Board authorize the County to piggyback off of the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract #13-11-0904, per Specification #41, in accordance with the Escambia County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 46, Article II, Section 46-44, Application; exemptions, and Section 46-64, Award approval and threshold authority, and award a Purchase Order for one Mac Model TNSP48MF Waste Trailer with Walking Floor, Specification Number VE13-14.020, Solid Waste Department Vehicle Purchase #6, to General Truck Equipment & Trailer Sales, Inc., in the amount of $74,947.50, for the Solid Waste Management Department.

BACKGROUND: |
This Waste Trailer will be utilized for the transportation of waste from the Palafox Transfer Station to the Perdido Landfill. |

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION: |
Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) will coordinate with the Office of Purchasing for the issuance of the Purchase Order. SWMD Fleet Maintenance will coordinate delivery of the Mac Model TNSP48MF Waste Trailer with Walking Floor with General Truck Equipment & Trailer Sales, Inc. |
