RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Funding Request for the Cantonment Improvement Committee Community United Fellowship Event - Commissioner Steven Barry, District 5

That the Board approve the request for $500 that was funded to the Cantonment Improvement Committee on August 1st, 2019, for their “Back-to-School Bash” to now be allocated to support their “Community United Fellowship” event with the Purchase Order to be processed on the front end and receipts turned in after the event.

BACKGROUND:
The Cantonment Improvement Committee has been committed to improving the Cantonment community for the last seven years. On August 1st, 2019, the Board approved a discretionary allocation to support their “Back-to-School Bash” in the amount of $500. After conversations with the CIC, it was revealed that they could use those funds more for their “Community United Fellowship” event taking place on September 7, 2019. This event will allow the community to come together for encouragement, celebration, and community fellowship.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
This will be funded using dollars from the District 5 Discretionary fund.

Upon Board approval, the County Administrator's Office will work with the Cantoment Improvement Committee to obtain the necessary paperwork.
