Recommendation Concerning the Funding Allocation to Project Empowerment of Northwest Florida - Commissioner Lumon J. May, District 3

That the Board approve the funding allocation of $500, from Commissioner May's Discretionary Fund, to Project Empowerment of Northwest Florida.

BACKGROUND:

Project Empowerment of Northwest Florida is a Day Program for at-risk adults with special needs and is housed at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, 6205 North "W" Street, Pensacola, Florida. The funding will be used to support services provided by Project Empowerment.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

As part of the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget approved by the Board, each Commissioner recevied $50,000 to use at their discretion.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon Board approval, the County Administrator's Office will work with Project Empowerment of Northwest Florida and Mr. Karseem Lyons (850) 293-4532 to obtain the necessary paperwork to process a payment voucher.
