RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #266 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #266, Fire Protection Fund (143), in the amount of $31,763, to recognize reimbursements received from the Florida State Fire Marshal Office for Hurricane Michael emergency work performed by Escambia County Fire Rescue under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (Stafford Act), and to appropriate these funds back into Fire Rescue's budget.
BACKGROUND:
Escambia County Fire Rescue staff participated in Hurricane Michael disaster relief efforts during October and November 2018.  Claims for related labor costs were submitted to the Florida State Fire Marshal Office under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (Stafford Act), and reimbursements have been received totaling $31,763.  These funds are being appropriated back to Fire Rescue's personnel budget. 
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
This amendment will increase Fund 143 by $31,763.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
N/A
PERSONNEL:
These funds are being placed into salaries to cover the overtime and related personnel expenses associated with the event.
POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
Board policy requires increases and decreases in revenues to be approved by the Board.
