RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Authorization for Access and Signature for the Transit Award Management System - Tonya Ellis, Mass Transit Interim Director

That the Board take the following action concerning the Transit Award Management System (TrAMS) Memo:

A. Authorize the Chairman to sign the Designation of Signature Authority for the TrAMS memo; and

B. Authorize the Interim Mass Transit Director to obtain a Personal Identification Number (PIN) so that the Interim Director may, on behalf of Escambia County, Florida, file and execute Applications and documents required for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grants.

BACKGROUND:

Escambia County has a newly appointed Interim Mass Transit Director, Tonya Ellis. FTA requires the Delegation of Signature authority to be uploaded with the request for access in TrAMS.

Kristin Hual, Senior Assistant County Attorney has reviewed and approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon approval, Mass Transit staff will submit the signed memo to FTA. The Mass Transit Director will be authorized to have a PIN and will have the ability to submit Federal Grant Applications; after the Application has received Board approval.
