RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Contract Award for the Clean-up of Parks and Boat Ramps - Michael Rhodes, Parks and Recreation Department Director, through Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County and Keep Pensacola Beautiful, Inc., per the terms and conditions of PD 19-20.067, Clean-up of Parks and Boat Ramps, in the amount of $188,638.

BACKGROUND:
The Invitation to Bid for PD 19-20.067, Cleanup of Parks and Boat Ramps, was advertised in Vendor Registry on June 12, 2020. 259 companies were notified of the Invitation to Bid. Two mandatory pre-bid meetings were held at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., on June 24, 2020. Representatives from 11 firms attended the pre-bid meetings held at Parks and Recreation. Seven bids were received on July 1, 2020. Keep Pensacola Beautiful, Inc., was the lowest responsive bidder and was accepted by the Parks and Recreation Department for the recommendation to award the Contract for PD 19-20.067, Cleanup of Parks and Boat Ramps.

All work associated with this Recommendation was done in-house and no additional staff was required.
POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This Recommendation is in compliance withe Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Office of Purchasing will issue the Agreement as well as the Purchase Order.
