Recommendation Concerning the Ratification of the FEMA COVID-19 Federally Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement - Janice P. Gilley, County Administrator

That the Board approve and ratify the Chairman's signature on the FEMA COVID-19 Federally Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement.

Date range - March 13, 2020 through December 31, 2020
COVID-19 Category B Public Assistance for Governmental Entities

Examples of Eligible Activities

Transporting and pre-positioning equiptment and other resources for response
- Costs related to pre-positioning resources specifically for COVID-19 are eligible if the resources are used in the performance of eligible Emergency Work.
Emergency Operation Center (EOC)-related costs
- Increased Utility Costs
- Costs to lease a facility
- Meal costs
- Supply Costs
- Sanitation Costs
Emergency Access
Supplies and Commodities
Medical care and transport
Evacuation and sheltering
Childcare**
Safety inspections
Security, such as barricades, fencing, or law enforcement
Use or lease of temporary generators for facilities that provide essential community services
Dissemination of information to the public to provide warnings and guidance about health and safety hazards using various strategies, such as flers, public service announcements, or newspapepr campaigns

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funds will be on a reimbursement basis at 75% Federal, 12.5% State, and 12.5% Local between March 13, 2020 and December 31, 2020.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The County's Attourneys office has reviewed.

PERSONNEL:

No additional personnel required.

Section II, B.8. Resolutions, Agreements and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The Program Coordinator has been coordinating with the departments on gathering required documentation for reimbursement.
