RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Agreement for Casino Beach Artificial Reef Construction Project (P.D. 19-20.020) with David Marsh Walter D/B/A Walter Marine.

That the Board take the following action:

A. Approve the Agreement for Casino Beach Artificial Reef Construction Project (P.D. 19-20.020) with David Marsh Walter D/B/A Walter Marine in an amount not to exceed $59,500.00; and

B. Ratify the County Administrator's signature.

BACKGROUND:

On February 14, 2020, the County issued a Request for Proposals (P.D. 19-20.020) seeking a contractor to construct, transport, and deploy reef modules within the boundaries of the Casino Beach Snorkeling Reef permitted area.

On May 7, 2020, the Board authorized issuance of a Purchase Order to David Walter D/B/A Walter Marine in the amount of $59,500.00 per the terms and conditions of P.D. 19-20.020, Casino Beach Artificial Reef Construction Project. The corresponding Agreement required Board approval but was inadvertently omitted from the recommendation presented to the Board.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

The contract amount is funded by grant funding provided by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission pursuant to FWC Agreement No. 19041.

The Agreement was prepared by Kristin D. Hual, Senior Assistant County Attorney.
