RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #139, Sheriff's Department, Henrique Dias, Chief Finance Officer - Sharon Harrell, Interim Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #139, Law Enforcement Trust Fund (121), in the amount of $8,500, to recognize additional revenues from various law enforcement activities, and to appropriate these funds into the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Trust (LET) Fund Budget, pursuant to Florida Statute 932.7055, to pay vouchers submitted for payment to various outside agencies and related Law Enforcement activities for the remainder of the Fiscal Year 2019/2020.

BACKGROUND:

Per F.S. 932.7055, certain law enforcement activities generate a revenue stream that must be appropriated into the Law Enforcement Trust to be expended by the Sheriff. These funds support various law enforcement related activities in Escambia County.

The amount of $8,500 is the amount collected that has not been recognized for expenditure.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This Amendment will increase Fund 121 by $8,500.
