Recommendation Concerning the Annual Renewal of Contract PD 14-15.030, Bob Sikes Bridge Toll System Upgrade - Joy Jones, P.E., Engineering Department Director
That the Board approve the annual allocation, in the amount of $189,921.96, plus an additional 10% ($18,992.20) for equipment repairs, for the Time and Materials Maintenance Contract Agreement, PD 14-15.030, for the Bob Sikes Bridge Toll System Upgrade Project, through July 7, 2021, to Transcore, LP.

BACKGROUND: |
At the regularly scheduled meeting on July 7, 2015, the Board approved Contract PD 14-15.030, Bob Sikes Bridge (BSB) Toll System Upgrade Project, to Transcore, LP, to install the State of Florida Sun Pass electronic tolling system at the BSB Toll Plaza. In addition, the Board approved five years' Time and Materials Maintenance, with the option to renew for an additional five years. Funding for the Maintenance Contract is subject to appropriations by the Board of County Commissioners. On an annual basis, the Board may opt to convert to an all-inclusive maintenance contract at the rates provided.
Approval of this Recommendation will exercise the final year of the Time and Materials Maintenance Five-Year Contract, and allocate funds for equipment repairs/spare parts.
Prior to July 2021, will recommend renewal of the contract with Transcore, LP, for the additional five years, and barring significant repair/maintenance issues that may arise over the next year, will also request to retain the time and materials maintenance service. |
