Recommendation Concerning Payment of the SMG/ASM Incentive Fees for the Pensacola Bay Center - Sharon Harrell, Interim Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board approve and authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to pay remaining food and beverage fees for Fiscal Year 2016 and Fiscal Year 2017, in the amount of $7,779.91, and the Annual Performance Incentive Fees for Fiscal Year 2018 and Fiscal Year 2019, in the amount of $205,409.94, for a collective total of $213,189.85, as part of the SMG/ASM Management Services Agreement, as approved by the Board on February 16, 2012.

BACKGROUND:

On February 16, 2012, the Board approved to extend the Pensacola Bay Center Management Services Agreement with SMG (now ASM), a three-year Agreement for management services at the Pensacola Bay Center, commencing October 1, 2012. The extension allowed for 5% commission on all food and beverage revenues and an incentive fee of 35% of any reduction in the net loss up to $250,000 over a pre-established benchmark or 40% of any reduction over $250,000. The Agreement also required that SMG/ASM pass an annual facilities inspection to qualify for any incentive. All referenced years of facility inspections were rated at "Meets Standards"; copies are available through OMB.
