RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Scheduling a Public Hearing Amending The Noise Ordinance, Chapter 42, Article III, Sections 42-61 through 42-70, of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances

That the Board authorize scheduling a Public Hearing on July 25, 2013, at 5:33 p.m., for consideration of amending the Noise Ordinance.

BACKGROUND:

At the Committee of the Whole on May 16, 2013, the Board directed the County Attorney's office to amend the Noise Ordinance, applicable to the mainland, with a reasonable person standard that the Sheriff's Office will enforce.

The ordinance was drafted by County Attorney Alison Rogers. The ordinance will be advertised in the Saturday edition of the Pensacola News Journal on July 13, 2013.
