| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning the Escambia County Fire Recue Workers' Compensation Insurance Renewal - Jason Rogers, Public Safety Department Director
That the Board take the following action regarding the Fiscal Year 2020/2021 Workers' Compensation Renewal for the Escambia County Fire Department:
A. Approve the Worker's Compensation Renewal, WC FL1 0174001 20-18, in the amount of $28,282, for the period of October 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021, payable to USI Insurance Services, LLC;
B. Authorize Mark Bartlett, Risk Manager, to execute the Quote; and
C. Authorize the issuance of a Fiscal Year 2020/2021 Purchase Order to USI Insurance Services. LLC.

| BACKGROUND: |
| USI Insurance Services LLC of Pensacola has agreed to renew Fire's Workers' Compensation Policy with the same terms and deductible as the previous year. The renewal premium represents a $6,907 increase from the previous year's premium. Risk Manager, Mark Bartlett, provided Public Safety with the renewal quote and has deemed it as being competitvely written. Insurance policies and renewals are negotiated on the County’s behalf, without commission at the retail level. |

| LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF: |
| Kristin Hual, Senior Assistant County Attorney, has reviewed the document and approved it as to form and legal sufficiency, however legal stamp was not needed due to the fact that the authorized signer is Mark Bartlett. |
| PERSONNEL: |
| Risk Management will be the contract administrator. |
| POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION: |
| This Recommendation is in compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchase and Contracts. |
| IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION: |
| Upon Board approval, a Purchase Order will be issued to provide payment for services rendered from the Contract on October 1, 2020. |
