RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Regarding the Dedication of a Public Right-of-Way Easement Located off of Godwin Lane - Joy Jones, P.E., Engineering Department Director

That the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Dedication of Public Right-of-Way Easement for a proposed 57-foot-wide by 811-foot-long easement along the western side of the County's recently acquired pit parcel located off of Godwin Lane, as requested by Patrick Resmondo.

This property is located in Commission District 1.
BACKGROUND:
Escambia County purchased the former APAC Pit for stormwater purposes in 2018. There is currently an existing 57-foot-wide by 727-foot-long non-exclusive Easement, recorded in Official Records 5829, Page 603-607, granted by APAC for residential access to properties located along the west side of this property. 

After Escambia County acquired the former APAC Pit, Mr. Patrick Resmondo purchased the property located at 3380 Godwin Lane. Upon further review, Mr. Resmondo discovered that the recorded Easement did not quite reach his property. Mr. Resmondo has approached Escambia County and requested this proposed access easement in order to reach his property located at 3380 Godwin Lane.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:

All costs associated with recording the Easement will be borne by Patrick Resmondo.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The Dedication of Public Right-of-Way Easement was prepared by the County Attorney's Office. However, approval of the Dedication of a 57-foot-wide by 811-foot-long Public Right-of-Way Easement is a decision of the Board and is dependent on the Board determining that the dedication is in the interest of the public at large.
