Recommendation Concerning Scheduling a Public Hearing at 5:34 p.m., on Thursday, September 5, 2019, for the Consideration of Adopting an Ordinance Conserving and Preserving Properties on Santa Rosa Island - Commissioner Robert Bender, District 4

That the Board authorize the scheduling of the 5:34 p.m. Public Hearing, on Thursday, September 5, 2019, for the consideration of adopting an Ordinance conserving and preserving properties on Santa Rosa Island.

BACKGROUND:

On June 26, 2019, the Santa Rosa Island Authority received the proposed Ordinance to review. After holding two Committee workshops to discuss the proposed Ordinance, the Santa Rosa Island Authority Board will discuss the proposed Ordinance at their August 14, 2019, meeting.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The County Attorney's Office prepared the Non-Binding Referendum question for the November 6, 2018, general election ballot along with the Ordinance that the Board is considering scheduling for the Public Hearing on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at 5:34 p.m.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon Board approval, Commissioner Robert Bender's office will work with the County Administrator's Office to place the Recommendation on the September 5, 2019, Agenda and with the County Attorney's Office to make sure the legal announcement is published.
