BACKGROUND:
Grande Boulevard, located in Block 24 of Beach Haven Subdivision, is an unopened right-of-way that meanders along Bayou Grande.

The petitioner, Carole Lockhart, is requesting the county to consider a Petition to Vacate a portion of the unopened right-of-way, known as Grande Boulevard, behind her property, located at 2019 Augusta Avenue. This would then create water frontage for Ms. Lockhart.

Staff has reviewed the request and has concerns with vacating direct water access as that could prevent or complicate future restoration projects in the area. All utility companies have been contacted and have no objections to the vacation of this property.

Notifications were sent to the surrounding property owners within a 500' radius of the area mentioned in the Petition to Vacate.
