| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning State Law Enforcement Trust Fund - Henrique Dias, Chief Financial Officer, Escambia County Sheriff's Office Finance Division
That the Board approve the following allocations of Law Enforcement Trust (LET) Funds, per the requirements of F.S. 932.7055(5), for Outside Agency partners in Escambia County for Fiscal Year 2018/2019:
A. HYPE Pensacola Inc., in the amount of $1,500;
B. Beulah Middle School, in the amount of $2,500;
C. Sacred Heart Foundation, in the amount of $20,000;
D. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, in the amount of $20,000;
E. Knowledge Ministries DBA Golden Elite Track and Field Club, in the amount of $1,000;
F. My Brothers and Sisters, in the amount of $2,500;
G. The Salvation Army - Pensacola Corps, in the amount of $1,000; and
H. Greater Pensacola Junior Golf Association Inc., in the amount of $5,000.
Upon approval of these funding allocations, the Sheriff’s Office will process all appropriate paperwork and submit for payment from LET Funds to the Escambia Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller.

| BACKGROUND: |
Per F.S. 932.7055(5), certain law enforcement activities generate a revenue stream that must be appropriated into the Law Enforcement Trust to be expended by the Sheriff. These funds support various law enforcement related activities in Escambia County.

Hype Pensacola, Inc. - $1,500
Beulah Middle School - $2,500
Sacred Heart Foundation - $20,000
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida - $20,000
Knowledge Ministries DBA Golden Elite Track and Field Club - $1,000
My Brothers and Sisters - $2,500
The Salvation Army - Pensacola Corps - $1,000
Greater Pensacola Junior Golf Association Inc. - $5,000

These funds may be expended upon request by the sheriff to the board of county commissioners or by the chief of police to the governing body of the municipality, accompanied by a written certification that the request complies with the provisions of this subsection, and only upon appropriation to the sheriff’s office or police department by the board of county commissioners or the governing body of the municipality.
