RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning a Contract Award for Beautician Services for the Escambia County Jail - Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign an Agreement Relating to Beautician Services between Escambia County, Florida, and Velma Cannon, per the terms and conditions of PD 17-18.097, Beautician Services for the Escambia County Jail, for three years with two one-year renewals at the rate of $12.00 per haircut.

BACKGROUND:

The legal advertisement for the "Invitation to Bid" was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on August 27, 2018. Three vendors were notified. The Solicitation requested pricing on Beautician Services for a haircut. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference was held on September 6, 2018. Two vendors were represented at that meeting. A bid was received from one vendor on September 18, 2018. Velma Cannon was the lowest and most responsive and responsible bidder for Beautician Services.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, FL 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The Office of Purchasing will issue the Attorney's Stand Alone Contracts and Purchase Orders.
