RECOMMENDATION:

Proclamations.

Recommendation: That the Board take the following action:

A. Adopt the Proclamation proclaiming September 2018, as Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month in Escambia County, Florida, and urging all citizens to work to prevent suicide and to raise awareness and tolerance around all people affected by this tragedy. Together, we can make a difference; and

B. Adopt the Proclamation welcoming Most Worshipful John E. Karroum to Pensacola on the occasion of his visit to the Hadji Shrine Temple.

BACKGROUND:

Various departments, outside agencies, special interest groups, civic and religious organizations in recognition of specific events, occasions, people, etc., request Proclamations. Information provided on the Proclamation is furnished by the requesting party and placed in the proper acceptable format for BCC approval by the County Administration staff. Board approval is required by Board Policy Section I, A (6).
