RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Amendment of Agreement for Temporary Medical Staffing Services, PD14-15.067 - William Powell, Director of Corrections

That the Board take the following action:

A. Approve the Amendment of Agreement for Temporary Medical Staffing Services, PD 14-15.067, which amends the Agreement to reflect that the Contractor's name has changed from NurseFinders of Pensacola, LLC, to NurseSpring of Pensacola, LLC; and

B. Authorize the Chairman to execute the aforementioned Amendment.

BACKGROUND:

On June 15, 2015, The County issued a Request for Proposal (PD 14-15.067) seeking temporary medical staffing services on an as-needed basis for Escambia County Department of Corrections. On August 20, 2015, the County entered into an agreement with NurseFinders of Pensacola, LLC as a result of this multi-award agreement. On January 20, 2016 the Contractor filed an amendment to its Articles of Organization changing its name from NurseFinders of Pensacola, LLC to NurseSpring of Pensacola, LLC. The requested amendment will update the contract so the correct Contractor name is reflected in the contract documents.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Although this amendment does not have an impact on the financial terms of PD 14-15.067, the services provided for in the agreement are budgeted in Fund 001, General Fund; Cost Center 290402.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

This amendment has been reviewed by Kristin Hual, Assistant County Attorney, and found to be legally sufficient.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

Escambia County Board of County Commissioners' Policy requires contract amendment to be Board approved.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Contract requirements will be carried out by the Escambia County Department of Corrections.
