RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Escambia County Health Facilities Authority Monetary Contribution for the Expansion of the Lakeview Center's Century Clinic Facility.

That the Board take the following action:

A. Adopt and authorize the Chairman to sign the attached Resolution commending the Health Facilities Authority for its generous monetary contribution of up to $2 million to the Lakeview Center's Century Clinic facility; and

B. Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the attached Memorandum of Agreement between Escambia County and the Escambia County Health Facilities Authority.

BACKGROUND:

The Health Facilities Authority approached the County with the two proposed documents in an effort to provide additional funding for health services within Escambia County.

The attached Resolution and Memorandum of Agreement has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office.
