RECOMMENDATION:

5:33 p.m. Public Hearing for consideration of amending Chapter 10, Article I, Section 10-25 of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances regarding the Pensacola Beach Dog Park to extend "Park East" by 100 feet to the east and 100 feet to the west.

Recommendation: That the Board adopt the Ordinance amending Chapter 10, Article I, Section 10-25 of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances regarding the Pensacola Beach Dog Park to extend "Park East" by 100 feet to the east and 100 feet to the west.

BACKGROUND:

The Santa Rosa Island Authority has requested an amendment to Section 10-25 of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances regarding the Pensacla Beach Dog Park to extend "Park East" by 100 feet to the east and 100 feet to the west. A proposed clarification of the sunset provision in Section 10-25 is also included.

At the August 2, 2018 meeting, the Board approved scheduling the Public Hearing for consideration of amending Chapter 10, Article I, Section 10-25 of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances regarding the Pensacola Beach Dog Park to extend "Park East" by 100 feet to the east and 100 feet to the west.

The County Attorney's Office drafted the proposed Ordinance. The Ordinance was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on August 4, 2018.
