RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Draft Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization Fiscal Year 2020-2024 Project Priorities - Joy Jones, P.E., Public Works Department Director

That the Board discuss the draft Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization Fiscal Year 2020-2024 Project Priorities.
BACKGROUND:
Per the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (FL-AL TPO) website, "The Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization, staffed by the West Florida Regional Planning Council, is tasked annually with developing Project Priorities. Project Priorities, which are essentially the Cost Feasible Plan element of the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), are usually approved in September each year and are due to the State Departments of Transportation by October 1st. The adopted Project Priorities are used by the State Departments of Transportation to develop a five-year Work Program. This five-year Work Program is then used by the TPO to develop its five-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is usually adopted by the TPO at its June meeting each year."

County staff have reviewed the draft Project Priorities (attached herein) and are seeking direction and input from the Board based on staff recommendations.
