Recommendation Concerning a Request from Banks Enterprise, LLC, for the 2015 Gulf Coast Summerfest Music Festival - Commissioner Lumon May, District 3

That the Board consider the request for $5,000 from Banks Enterprise, LLC, payable to the Pensacola Bay Center, for the 2015 Gulf Coast Summerfest Music Festival, to be funded from Commissioner Lumon May's 4th Cent Tourist Development Tax Fund, and approve the Purchase Order for this purpose.

BACKGROUND:

On January 22, 2015, the Board approved an allocation of $10,000 for promotional and advertising expenses associated with the 2015 Gulf Coast Summerfest Music Festival from Commissioner Doug Underhill's 4th Cent Tourist Development Tax. The Board also approved on June 25, 2015, $125,000 from the Tourist Development Tax overage to be paid to the Pensacola Bay Center for the Gulf Coast Summerfest Music Festival.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

The Board placed $250,000 in the Tourist Development Tax reserves. These funds are to be allocated by the Board for events and other tourist promotion activities.
