Recommendation Concerning a Change Order to Sysco Gulf Coast, Inc., for Food Service Supplies for Escambia County Road Prison - Michael Tidwell, Corrections Department Director

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to execute the following Change Order 2, adding funds for food service supplies (PD 13-14.056), for the Escambia County Road Prison for Fiscal Year 2015:

BACKGROUND:
Meeting in regular session on July 24, 2014, the Board approved PD13-14.056 between SYSCO Gulf Coast, Inc. and Escambia County to provide food service supplies to the Escambia County Road Prison.  At the start of Fiscal Year 2015 it was anticipated that the Road Prison would need $60,000 to cover expenditures to SYSCO for the entire fiscal year.  In March 2015 an estimated 60 inmates incarcerated with the Escambia County Jail were moved to the south wing of the Road Prison.  This has increased the amount of food that must be provided by the Road Prison's kitchen thus increasing the needed funding for SYSCO Gulf Coast Inc.  The department would like to request a change order of $25,000, bringing the total of the PO up to $85,000.  This will provide the funding necessary to remit payment to the vendor through the end of fiscal year 2015.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Funding is available in Transportation Trust Fund 175; Care and Custody Cost Center 290202; Object Code 55201.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchase and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
Upon approval of this recommendation, a change order will be submitted to the Office of Purchasing for processing.
