RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Issuance of a 14-day Consecutive Temporary Concrete Permit for the Crushing and/or Pulverizing of Excess Concrete Located at 3040 South Highway 95A of Thomas Homes, Inc.

That the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) review and approve, modify, or deny the issuance of a 14-day temporary concrete crushing permit for Thomas Homes, Inc., for the next 45 days to allow for the crushing and/or pulverizing of its own aggregate material on site.

BACKGROUND:

On June 10, 2020, the Development Services Department received a letter, via e-mail, from Thomas Homes, Inc. for a 14-day consecutive temporary concrete crushing permit for the crushing and/or pulverizing of material at its Cantonment location, 3040 South Highway 95A. It must be noted that similar requests from other businesses have received authorizations from the BCC for the issuance of a 14-day temporary concrete crushing permit to allow for the crushing and/or pulverizing of its own aggregate material on site.
