RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning an Amendment of the Agreement for Psychiatry Services, PD 17-18.003 - William R. Powell, Director of Corrections

That the Board take the following action concerning an Amendment to the Agreement for Psychiatry Services (PD 17-18.003), between Escambia County and Locum Tenens Holdings, LLC, which provides for psychiatric services for the Escambia County Corrections Department:

A. Approve the Amendment of Agreement for Psychiatry Services (PD 17-18.003), which amends the Agreement to reflect that the Contractor's Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 58-2535469; and

B. Authorize Amy Lovoy, the Acting County Administrator, to execute the Amendment.

[Funding is available in Fund 001, General Fund, Inmate Medical Cost Center 290402]

BACKGROUND:

On May 9, 2018, the County entered into an agreement with Locum Tenens, LLC for the provision of psychiatric services for those under the jurisdiction of Escambia County's secure correctional facilities. It was discovered that the employer identification number (EIN) referenced in the original agreement was incorrect. The referenced amendment will correct the employer identification number for Locum Tenens Holdings, LLC.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

The requested amendment will not have an impact on the budgeted funds for the referenced agreement.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

This amendment has been reviewed by Kristin Hual, Assistant County Attorney, and found to be legally sufficient.

PERSONNEL:

N/A

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

Escambia County Board of County Commissioners' Policy requires contract amendments to be Board approved.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Contract requirements will be carried out by the Escambia County Department of Corrections.
