RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Approval of the Proposed Organizational Chart for Escambia County Area Transit - Jack R. Brown, County Administrator

That the Board approve the proposed Organizational Chart for Escambia County Area Transit and establish the positions in the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget.

[Funding: Fund 104, Mass Transit, Operations Cost Center 211210, Pensacola Beach Trolley 211211, UWF Trolley 211212]

BACKGROUND:

In order to bring Mass Transit in-house, the proposed organizational chart needs to be approved.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

To be determined once all the positions have been hired.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The County Attorney's Office has been involved in the process to bring Mass Transit in-house.

PERSONNEL:

Human Resources will process the advertising and hiring of the positions on the proposed organizational chart.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

To establish a new Department under the Board's organizational chart, it requires Board approval.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon Board approval, the County Administrator's Office, will implement the organizational chart.
