RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Funding Request for The Miracle League of Pensacola, 2017-2018 Season - Commissioner Jeff Bergosh, District 1

That the Board approve funding $2,500 for The Miracle League of Pensacola, 2017-2018 Season, from Commissioner Jeff Bergosh's discretionary money, and approve a Purchase Order for this purpose.

BACKGROUND:

The Miracle League of Pensacola provides physically and mentally challenged individuals a safe and spirited program in which they can hit, run, and catch on a baseball field – just like other players. The Miracle League is guided by a sense of teamwork, sportsmanship, integrity, commitment and community.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

The Board approved $50,000 in the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Budget for each Commissioner to use as discretionary funds.
