Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #206 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #206, Local Option Sales Tax III, (LOST) Fund (352), in the amount of $993,750, to recognize proceeds from two State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreements, and to appropriate these funds for the design of bridge replacements at O.C. Phillips Road over Brushy Creek Bridge No. 484029 and at Dawson Road over Pritchett Mill Bridge No. 484046.

BACKGROUND:

On September 7, 2017, it is anticipated the Board will approve two LAP agreements between the FDOT and Escambia County, for the design of bridge replacements at O. C. Phillips Road over Brushy Creek Bridge No. 484029 and at Dawson Road over Pritchett Mill Bridge No. 484046. Design costs are anticipated to be $675,000 for O. C. Phillips Road over Brushy Creek Bridge No. 484029, and $650,000 for Dawson Road over Pritchett Mill Bridge No. 484046. FDOT's maximum participation will be 75% for each, or $506,250 and $487,500 respectively.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 352 by a total of $993,750, which is $506,250 for O. C. Phillips Road over Brushy Creek Bridge No. 484029 and $487,500 for Dawson Road over Pritchett Mill Bridge No. 484046.
