RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning Contract Award for Board Chambers and Central Office Complex Audio Visual Digital Upgrade - Paul Nobles, Office of Purchasing, Purchasing Manager

That the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Agreement between Escambia County and Pro Sound, Inc., per the terms and conditions of PD 16-17.043, Board Chambers and Central Office Complex (COC) Audio Visual Digital Upgrade, for an aggregate fee of $164,756.05.

BACKGROUND:
The legal advertisement for this "Request for Proposals" was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on Monday, May 15, 2017. A Mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference was held on Friday, May 26, 2017. Two firms were represented at that meeting. Proposals were received from two contractors on Friday, June 9, 2017.  One firm was not responsive to the Request for Proposals. Negotiations were held with Pro Sound, Inc. on Friday, July 7, 2017 and July 14, 2017.

Agreement prepared and approved by Assistant County Attorney, Kristin Hual.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, FL 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Office of Purchasing will issue the County Attorney prepared Agreement and Purchase Order.
