RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Allowing the City of Pensacola's Relay for Life Team to Use the Artel Gallery for a Masquerade Ball Fundraiser - Jack R. Brown, County Administrator

That the Board take the following action concerning the use of the Artel Gallery:

A. Approve the use of the Artel Gallery space for the City of Pensacola's American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team to hold a Masquerade Ball fundraiser on Friday, March 10, 2017, from 6:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m.;

B. Grant permission for the City of Pensacola's American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team to serve beer, wine, and alcohol at this event; and

C. Require the City of Pensacola's American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team to have the Artel Gallery cleaned up by 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 11, 2017.

BACKGROUND:

On Tuesday, February 14, 2017, Molly Stroud and Vernon Stewart from the City of Pensacola's American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Team made a request to the Artel Gallery to use their space to hold a Masquerade Ball fundraiser on Friday, March 10, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and requested approval to serve beer, wine and alcohol at this event. The City's Relay For Life team has agreed to clean up after this event in time for the Artel Gallery to open at their normal time of 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017. C. Require the City of Pensacola's American Cancer Society Relay For Life Team to have the Artel Gallery cleaned up by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
