RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Budget Amendment #079 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board approve Budget Amendment #079, Other Grants and Projects Fund (110), in the amount of $36,000, to move funds from training to salaries for the Fiscal Year 2016 State Homeland Security Grant, and to appropriate these funds in the correct account to be used for employee salaries while attending monthly Hazmat training required by the Fiscal Year 2016 State Homeland Security Grant.

BACKGROUND:

Escambia County was awarded the 2016 State Homeland Security Grant by the Florida Division of Emergency Management. These funds need to be moved to the correct account to pay the employee salaries while attending monthly Hazmat training required by the FY2016 State Homeland Security Grant. This grant is used to keep their training up to date with current standards.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase personnel funds in Fund 110. There is no increase to the current budget as funds are currently budgeted in an operating account.
