RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Request for Disposition of Property for the Department of Natural Resources Management / Mosquito Control Division - J. Taylor "Chips" Kirschenfeld, Director, Department of Natural Resources Management.

That the Board approve the 13 Request for Disposition of Property Forms for the Mosquito Control Division under the Department of Natural Resources Management, for property that is described and listed on the Disposition Forms, with reasons for the disposition stated. The listed items have been found to be of no further usefulness to the County; thus, it is requested the items be disposed of in compliance with Florida Statute Chapter 388.323 under the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Mosquito Control Division.
BACKGROUND:
Escambia County policy establishes the procedures for disposing of surplus or obsolete equipment. The surplus properties listed on the attached Request for Disposition of Property forms have been checked, declared to be obsolete and /or of no use to the County, and suitable to be auctioned or properly disposed.

If the Board approves dispositions, Escambia County Mosquito Control is required to first offer this equipment to other Florida Mosquito Control counties and/or districts via the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Mosquito Control Division, at a price established by the Board of County Commissioners owning the equipment as per Florida Statute Chapter 388.323.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
There is no financial or budgetary impact with this Disposal Recommendation.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
There is no legal action with this Disposal Recommendation.
PERSONNEL:
Approval of this Disposal Recommendation requires no additional personnel.
POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This Recommendation is in compliance with FS 274.07 and BCC Policy Section II, Procedures for Disposition of County Property.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
Upon BCC approval, Mosquito Control Division Management will ensure compliance of procedures and processes for Disposal purposes according to the Disposition of County Property Policy and Florida Statue 388.323.
