BACKGROUND:
The Invitation to Bid for Correctional Department Uniforms, PD13-14.048, was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on April 14, 2014.  On June 26, 2014, the County entered into an agreement for Correctional Department Uniforms with Azar's Uniforms, Inc. as a result of this solicitation.  On January 19, 2017, the Board approved the assignment of PD13-14.048 to Galls, LLC due to Galls, LLC's aquisition of Azar's Uniforms, Inc.  As a result of the approved assignment of agreement, Galls, LLC was assigned all rights, duties and obligations outlined pursuent to PD13-14.048.  Section 2 of the referenced agreement outlines the term of the agreement.  The term is listed as three years with two possible one-year extensions if mutually agreed upon by both parties. It is the request of the Corrections Department that we utilize the second of two additional one-year terms for the period of June 26, 2018 to June 25, 2019.  It is the intent of the Department to coordinate with purchasing to have the contract re-bid during the course of the final one-year extension.
