RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Donation of a 2004 Chrysler Mini Van, Asset Number 53114, to the Pensacola Humane Society - Jack R. Brown, County Administrator

That the Board take the following action concerning the donation of a 2004 Chrysler Mini Van, Asset Number 53114 to the Pensacola Humane Society:

A. Adopt the Resolution Authorizing the Conveyance of Personal Property to the Humane Society of Pensacola, Florida, Inc.; and

B. Authorize the Chairman to sign the Resolution.

BACKGROUND:

On June 2, 2017, the Board approved the Request for Disposition Form from the Tax Collector's Office declaring that the 2004 Chrysler Mini Van, Asset Number 53114, VIN Number 1C4GP45R75B132130, as surplus. The current approximately value is estimated to be under $1,200. The van is considered to be obsolete, with the continued use uneconomical or inefficient, and it serves no useful function for County purposes.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

According to our Public Works Fleet Maintenance Division, the estimated book value of this van is approximately $1,200 and the cost of the necessary repair work is approximately $1,100. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

Kristin Hual, Assistant County Attorney, created and approved the Resolution as to form and legal sufficiency.

Upon approval by the Board, the equipment will be transferred to the Pensacola Humane Society.
